The Chilean Desalination Association (A.G.) was established in May 2021 by the initiative of a group of companies committed to conveying a key message to mitigate the effects of climate change in the country. It aims to promote desalination and water reuse as a possible and sustainable alternative to address Chile’s water scarcity.
We are a cross-sectoral guild with the potential to include and connect diverse sectors around a common goal: to drive climate change adaptation through the development of seawater desalination and wastewater reuse, creating new water sources for Chile. We seek to contribute to ensuring that all individuals and activities in the country can access water through processes conducted in harmony with communities and the environment.
In just over two years, we have experienced significant growth, reaching 70 members and generating substantial interest from other potential associates and society at large.
ACADES has open doors to collaborate with academia, authorities, and the community to achieve the best solutions in desalination and reuse.
Promote the development of reuse and desalination as sources of fresh water for human consumption and productive activities.
